Jaded Meaning and Definition

"Jaded" is an adjective used to describe a person who is feeling weary, cynical, or disenchanted as a result of overexposure to something or prolonged experiences with negative or disappointing situations. When someone is described as jaded, it means they have become bored or disillusioned with a particular activity, situation, or aspect of life, and as a result, they may no longer find it exciting, interesting, or fulfilling.

For example, a person might become jaded with their job if they have been doing the same monotonous tasks for many years without any sense of challenge or growth. Similarly, someone might become jaded in romantic relationships if they have experienced a series of disappointments or heartbreaks, leading them to have a cynical or pessimistic outlook on love.

In essence, being jaded reflects a sense of emotional exhaustion or a loss of enthusiasm due to repetitive or negative experiences.
