Biotechnological Applications: Bacteria have numerous biotechnological applications. They are used in the production of antibiotics, enzymes, and various chemicals. Genetic engineering techniques often use bacteria as hosts for recombinant DNA technology.

Probiotics: Some bacteria are used as probiotics, which are beneficial microorganisms that can improve the health of the host organism when consumed in adequate amounts. They are commonly found in yogurt and other fermented foods.

Understanding and studying bacteria is vital for various fields, including microbiology, biotechnology, medicine, and environmental science. Bacteria have a profound impact on human health, the environment, and industry, making them a subject of extensive research and interest.
